Vais aprender sobre temas atuais e transversais, de forma prática e interativa, com um grupo de estudantes de pelo menos 4 países!
Os participantes recebem uma bolsa de 79€ por cada dia de mobilidade, existindo apoios extra para estudantes bolseiros da DGES.

An increasing number of employers globally are observing a significant deficiency in soft skills among new hires and interns. Frequently, these newcomers find it challenging to integrate into teams or adapt to the workplace, leading to difficulties for both the individuals and the organizations. Employers note that while graduates possess the technical abilities required for particular tasks, they often struggle with effective communication with colleagues, partners, or clients. In today's workplace, employees need not only to have specialized knowledge in their area but also to be proficient in several key soft skills. These skills encompass strong verbal and written communication, teamwork (including collaboration across cultures), active listening, clear information presentation, delegation, time management, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence.
The summer school designed to introduce participants to a range of essential soft skills, enabling students to enhance and refine their knowledge and practical application of these competencies. By recognizing the value placed on soft skills by contemporary employers, the summer school seeks to establish their incorporation into higher education curricula, particularly in fields like engineering, where they are seen as vital professional skills.
The Summer School will cover topics such as:
- Communication (verbal, non-verbal, written, etc.)
- Public Speaking
- Leadership
- Creative Thinking and Innovation
- Crisis Management
- Emotional Intelligence
- Process Management

SHM is a critical discipline for maintaining the safety, reliability, and longevity of infrastructure. With growing global challenges in ensuring the sustainability and resilience of built environments, there is a pressing need to equip researchers, engineers, and students with the skills and knowledge required to monitor and maintain structural integrity effectively.
The aim of this BIP is to provide undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students from European universities with a comprehensive introduction to the basic principles and concepts of structural health monitoring in various engineering structures. Within the framework of the BIP program, students will acquire fundamental knowledge of SHM through structured lectures. The program will offer students an opportunity to gain insight into the practical application of SHM systems, based on real-world experience shared by leading scientists in the field.
In addition to lectures, students will participate in a group project where they will jointly develop and present a project related to structural health monitoring. At the conclusion of this practical task, a discussion involving both professors and students will provide participants with the chance to exchange ideas on best practices in SHM applications and future engineering challenges.
This comprehensive approach ensures that students not only gain theoretical knowledge but also develop practical skills and understanding, preparing them for real-world SHM applications in their future careers.
This BIP aims to bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and practical applications of SHM by providing participants with comprehensive training in the field.

RTU Summer School «Destination-Latvia! Nature and Adventure for Curious Minds» is an opportunity for those eager to explore Latvia and Riga Technical University in depth, immerse themselves in new cultures and traditions, and forge lasting relationships with new people.
Over the course of a two-week summer school, participants will have the unique chance to discover both Latvia and the oldest technical university in the Baltic States!
